The total number of selected jumping stallions for the second inspection has reached 91. Following today’s re-inspection, sons of Emerald, Chatinue and Cash and Carry were added.

Seven stallions were assessed on the hard surface and at free jumping. Due to personal circumstances, committee member Eric van der Vleuten was absent and was replaced today by Sandra Schmucker.

Evaluation
Of the seven stallions born in 2023, three received the green light: Thore P (v. Chatinue), Calinero KS (v. Cash and Carry) and Tokyo F (v. Emerald van ’t Ruytershof). The latter brings the total number of selected sons of Emerald to seven, making this top sire the leading supplier at the KWPN Stallion Show. “Including the three older stallions, we have now reached a total of 91 stallions, while maintaining a consistent quality line,” explains senior inspector Henk Dirksen. “In Den Bosch, dam lines and any dam reports will also come into play, and with this group we can continue the selection process well. We hope the stallions will present themselves in a positive and relaxed manner in Den Bosch.” In addition to the seven 2.5-year-old stallions, 3.5-year-old stallions were assessed today exclusively on the hard surface. “These are two stallions from Team Nijhof. According to the regulations, it is possible to present stallions for the voluntary performance test provided they have previously been assessed on the hard surface during the first inspection. They have now met that requirement.”
