Gelder horse Ojee-B wins Stallion Competition
Today, the winner of the Gelder Stallion Competition was also honoured during the ‘Gelder horse block’. The stallion won all three competitions in Peelbergen, IJsselmuiden and Groningen and once again delivered an impressive performance with Anouk Slabbers in the saddle: Ojee-B (s.Ibsen B).
The commentary was provided by Arie Hamoen, who spoke very highly of Ojee-B (Ibsen B out of Jorien Tilde PROK elite IBOP from Rubus B, breeder G.S.W. te Bokkel uit Eerbeek): “This stallion shows a lot of elasticity and suppleness, performs his flying changes with ease and, for his age, already demonstrates a very good ability to collect. In addition, he is extremely willing and is already being competed at ZZ-Licht level. He combines a correct conformation with good movement. Today, his son was crowned champion among the three-year-old stallions, so from a breeding perspective he is certainly of added value.” Ojee-B was bred by Gerrit te Bokkel in Eerbeek and is now registered with Joop de Jong and his rider Anouk Slabbers. During the lap of honour, the chestnut stallion once again showed his quality and remained completely unfazed when his rider waved the bouquet she had received during the prize-giving above his head.
Sport genes speak for themselves
Odeer (Atze out of Zeronica elite sport-dres PROK from Talos, fokker Anouk Noordman) competed in two competitions, in Peelbergen and IJsselmuiden. Recently, this stallion made his ZZ-Zwaar debut with his breeder and rider Anouk Noordman, who has competed both Odeer’s sire and dam at Grand Prix level. Arie commented: “In the competition, Ojee-B showed slightly more use of the body, but Odeer, on the other hand, has a lot of power and expression in his movement. Given his pedigree, he is likely to go far in sport as well. I would like to encourage Gelder horse breeders to make more use of this stallion because of his many qualities.” Odeer also made a very appealing impression in the lap of honour and, like Ojee-B, was warmly applauded by the enthusiastic audience.
