Top talents and familiar names take centre stage during the show evening
The spectacular show evening at the KWPN Stallion Show featured many highlights, including several Stars of the Future as well as stallions presented Back in the Spotlight.
The stallions Merlot VDL (s.Bordeaux) with Dinja van Liere and O’Frederic (s.For Romance I) with Sadie Smith opened the well-attended evening, accompanied by music and live drums. Many more stallions would follow throughout the programme.
Highlight
One of the highlights of the evening was the clinic by Emmelie Scholtens and Hans Peter Minderhoud, who guided several stallions of different age categories. The five-year-old Magic McKee (s.Total McLaren) entered the arena first with Lina Uzunhasan, with the focus mainly on relaxation. The one-year-older Fiji (s.For Romance I), presented by Kim Alting, showed a nice, consistent picture, continually returning to solid basic work. Next, Charlotte Fry demonstrated the training towards Small Tour level with the seven-year-old Secret Lover (s.Secret), who is already a step further in his development. The clinic concluded with In Style (s.Eye Catcher) under Renate van Uytert, who demonstrated several Grand Prix movements.
Back in the Spotlight
Stallions presented Back in the Spotlight included New Dreams (s.Jerveaux), Le Formidable (s.Bordeaux), Bloomberg (s.Bon Coeur), Imagine (s.Chippendale), Mowgli V.O.D. (s.Desperado), Lord Romantic (s.Don Romantic) and Guardian S (s.Bodyguard).
Stars of the Future
The Stars of the Future, stallions already very close to making the step to Grand Prix level, included Mauro Turfhorst (s.Zonik) and Just Wimphof (s.De Niro). Later in the evening, Johnny Depp (s.Bordeaux) and McLaren (s.Morricone I) appeared in the arena under Van Liere and Van Uytert-Van Vliet, accompanied by flaming torches. The evening concluded with Nalegro (s.Painted Black) under Sadie Smith and Ilegro (s.Inclusive) under Charlotte Fry, presented to swinging live music.
