On the final regular day of the first round viewing for dressage stallions, powered by AJ Bedrijfsdiensten, 25 stallions were selected for the KWPN Stallion Show.

With only the re-inspection on 23 December still to come, the total number of dressage stallions selected for the second round viewing now stands at 84. This includes one older stallion that will first take part in the stallion competition.

First generations
Several stallions presented their first crop of sons, which always makes this day particularly interesting. “Yesterday was a somewhat weaker day, which happens every year. But it is very nice that we were able to conclude the regular first round viewing in this way today. We always look forward to the first generations, and the selected stallions fit very well within the group of stallions we selected for the second round viewing on previous days,” says chairman Bart Bax.

From the first crop of Extreme U.S., seven sons were selected for the second round viewing, while Opoque had three sons from his first crop selected. “Overall, the progeny of Extreme showed more blood than we had expected, in a positive sense of the word. And from Opoque, we were also able to select three well-moving sons.” One Two Three (first crop), O’Toto van de Wimphof (first crop) and New Orleans (second crop) each had two sons selected. “The stallions presented varying numbers of sons here, which sometimes makes comparison difficult, but overall we gained a very positive impression of the offspring of the young stallions today.”
