The Gelder horse finals for ster, keur, and elite mares were held during the KWPN Horse Days. Three-year-old Gelder mares also competed for the Champion title.

Zyrona keur elite won the competition for ster, keur, and elite mares. Zyrona is a Parcival daughter out of a Laurentz dam, bred by Stal van den Berg of Wezep and registered to J.L. Huysdens of Beekbergen. The mare showed good carriage and very correct leg movement.

The Champion of the three-year-old mares division was Brenda, a black Special D x Walser daughter, bred by H. van Ewijk of Randwijk and registered to S.J. Verweij of Geldermalsen. The very charming Brenda is well-developed with good Gelder horse conformation.

The top six Gelder foals - two colts and four fillies - competed for the championship. Two fillies faced off in the final competition: the well-developed Vitens daughter Eleanor, bred by G.H. Hofs out of a Sirius mare; and the youngest filly in the final, Elvirma, an Alexandro P x Laurentz daughter, bred by G. Hekkert of Wijde. The Champion and winner of the Equimax Foal Cup was Elvirma, a foal with great suppleness and correct leg movement. The judges described her as a true ballerina.

Three colts and three fillies were selected for the harness horse foal final for the Equimax Cup. The judges praised the number one and two selections as "top foals." They were the colt Elonis T, a Manno son out of a Patijn dam, bred by W.G. Cazemier; and the filly Evita, a Waldemar daughter out of a Larix dam, bred by W. van Beers. Evita showed excellent carriage and strong hind legs; however, Elonis T, with his long-lined conformation, outstanding front end use, beautiful front leg movement, and good hind leg use emerged the new harness horse foal champion. With that victory, Wim Cazemier took home the Equimax Cup.
