The competition for the VION Cup in the six-year-old division made for exciting sport. In the end, Omer Karaevli with Windbreaker (Heartbreaker x Miolieta ster s.Farmer, breeders: P. Oosterbosch of Wintelre and Adr. van Hoeflaken of Hedel) took home the coveted Cup. In the final competition, the combination finished second behind the lightning-quick and agile horse Winde R.A.G. (Sheraton x Cavalier) with Willem Greve in the saddle. Winde R.A.G. placed twelfth in the final standings.

The second place finisher in the final standings was Maikel van Mierlo, who gave his all in an attempt to win the Cup with Whistler (Sheraton x Beachboy). Although he clocked the fastest time, it cost him a downed pole.

Karaevli also placed third in the final standings with Woods (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Holland).

The KWPN-approved stallion Wizzerd took ninth place in the final standings, and his colleague Wittinger VDL performed well in the final. He stayed clear in the jump off to finish seventh in the final and 17th in the final standings. The KWPN stallion Warrant also competed in the final and placed 25th in the final standings.
