Grand-Prix stallion Carrera VDL recognized for KWPN breeding
The Stallion Selection Committee for Jumpers has recommended the general Board of Directors to recognize the stallion Carrera VDL.
The ten-year-old bay son of the also KWPN-recognized Cardento combines great bloodlines with his own impressive track record in jumping. Carrera VDL is bred out of the elite prestatie sport-spr mare Vantiels Esprit, who was successful at 1.50m level herself. Besides Carrera VDL she produced a 1.30m level jumping horse sired by Douglas. Vantiels Esprit is a daughter of Baloubet die Rouet out of ster prestatie Esprit (s.Zeus), also the dam of Tinka’s Boy who won many Grand Prixs and World Cups with Marcus Fuchs. The damline continues with keur, preferente prestatie mares by Orlof and Important. The stallion measures 1.72m.
Carrera VDL was trained by James Billington before he went to Jur Vrieling and the duo shows some outstanding things in the arena. The pair claimed a second place in the Grand-Prix in Oldenburg last autumn, came in fourth position in the Grand-Prix of Maastricht and took a third place in the Masters of Olympia in London. Carrera VDL is bred by K. Muys Jr. in Oterleek and is registered to VDL Stud in Bears, where semen is available. Carrera VDL meets the KWPN radiographic and respiratory requirements.
