The dressage selection committee of the German DOKR has published her longlist for Rio. Three KWPN-horses are placed on this list: Cosmo, Unee BB and Zaire BB.

Jessica Werndl-Von Bredow is placed with two horse on the eight-rider list. Of course with her well-known horse by Gribaldi Unee BB (out of Ilarichta keur pref by Dageraad, bred by J.J.H. Spronck from Berg en Terblijt) with which she won bronze in the World Cup finals last year, but also with her second horse. The expressively moving Zaire BB (Son de Niro out of Tara elit pref by Jazz, bred by Stoeterij Empelaer in Lage Mierde), that recently came in sixth place in the Kür at the German Championships with 78.025%. An exciting time has also started for the only 21-year-old Sönke Rothenberger. With the Van Gogh-son Cosmo (out of Lady ster by Frühling, bred by S. Serrarens from Stramproy) he showed he meant business at the German Championships. Following a fourth place in the Grand Prix with 78.08%, he placed fifth in the Special (80.235%) and fourth in the Kür (84.050%). He may also present himself at the competition in Aachen, a serious steppingstone for the selection for Rio.
