After two days of selecting jumper stallions, the total of accepted stallions comes at 49. The five most complete stallions were invited for the championship ring.  The striking Kannan-son Juventus VG won the championship title.

Yesterday, four stallions were invited for the championship ring, today, one more stallion was added: The athletic Padock du Plessis-son Jukebox (out of Bola elite IBOP-spr by Vainqueur, bred and registered with Jan van Kooten from Montfoort) and registered with Reinie Tewis. In the championship ring the Stallion Selection Committee made him fourth. Jukebox is bred out of National Champion mare Bola and could convince time after time with his technique, push and scope. In comparison to the three stallions in front of him, he could be more muscled and have more stallion type. The longlined and very careful jumper Joyride (Verdi out of Rachel stb pref prest by Heartbreaker, breeder Gerrit Spronk from ’s Heerenbroek (registered with Egbert Schep and Teus van den Brink) finished in fifth place in the championship ring. Good top group The Champion Stallion Juventus V G (Kannan out of Duzella elite IBOP-spr by Indoctro, breeder Jan van Gestel from Hilvarenbeek) registered by the VDL Stud is bred out of a national champion mare as well and could convince in all aspects.

“The champion is a very complete horse. He combines a longlined, riding type with a high level of carefulness, push and technique at the jump. Besides that Juventus is very interestingly bred and has a high expectation value”, said Stallion Selection Committee chair Cor loeffen. Because of his strong pedigree he stayed in front of the exceptional jumping, beautifully molded Farfan M-son Jonkheer de Span (out of Celebration Z by Calvin Z, f/rp H.J.M. Span from Zevenaar). This interesting stallion is well developed and could convince in his jumping in both the first as the second round viewing with his excellent jumping manners. In third place was one of the favorites of the public yesterday, the Zapatero VDL-son Jordan (uit Elia elite EPTM-spr d-oc by Mermus R, breeder H.G.J. Kroeze from Denekamp) registered with VDL Stud. He is strongly build and jumps with lots of technique and scope. Convincing Collection Today, 19 stallions were invited for the third round viewing. 18 of them were presented, and all of them were accepted for performance testing. “We are very glad with the stallions we have invited for the performance test. Several of them could really convince in free jumping and also in terms of breeding lines this collection is very convincing”, Cor Loeffen looks back.
