It was the Wynton-son Four legends, that covered the win at the Isah Cup in the Z Class. Ridden by Stephanie Kooyman the black stallion got a total of 86, which proved to be enough for both the victory of today’s class as the total competition as well.

No less then a 9,5 was rewarded by the Judges Karin Retera and Arie Hamoen for the trot of Four Legends (Wynton out of Vienna elite pref by Ferro, breeder J.M. Jansen, Joppe and G. Jansen-Blanken, Joppe). He was professionally presented by Stephanie Kooijman who rode a clear test with no mistakes. Especially the good transitions were striking. “The medium walk is clear, although it could be slightly more active, an 8. The canter could show more suppleness but the balance and ability to collect are striking.”

Kooijman: “Incredible feeling”

“I am very content”, tells an enthusiastic Stephanie Kooijman afterwards. “He went like we had practiced and what we had hoped for.” It was only in December that Kooijman rode the stallion for the first time, although she had ridden him once before when she was judging him in a three year old class. “Only two weeks later, we rode our first stallion competition. The feeling he gives you as a rider, can not be described, he always wants to work!”

Sympethatic ride

Franka Loos rode Foundation (United out of Wiana ster pref by Jazz, breeders J.A. & B. Naber  from Vredenheim) in a sympathic way, which resulted in a list filled with 8,5’s. “A nice horse with a beautiful posture”, said the judges. “In the last pasrt, Foundation lost a bit the connection, but his extended trot is sublime. The trot is quite striking with lots of suppleness and beautiful side-gaits. The canter had lots of balance and is nicely upward. There is clearly the ability to collect.”

Forward test

Ampère-son Electron (out of Zamba Sollenburg ster EPTM-dres PROK, breeder Adri Zekveld from Almere) showed a forward test with Anne-Marie Brouwer that was rewarded with mostly sevens. “The stallion could be more collected for this level”, reflects Retera. “In trot Electron shows lots of suppleness on the straight line, in the side gaits, we expect more collection and more self-carriage , a 7,5.”

Good canter

Marlou de Ruijter showed Feel Good (Contango out of  Vamora elite pref by OO Seven, bred by Paardencentrum De Dalhoeve, Wamel) in a constant test with good canter parts. “In total Feel Good could be better over the back. The trot was rewarded with a 7,5, the Harmony and Overall impression as well.
