This afternoon, the KWPN Select Sale for dressage horses was a fantastic Grand Final. The accepted stallion Jerez (s.Vivaldi) was sold for 160.000 euro and stays in the Netherlands. For 150.000 euro the Fellini-son Jetlag went to Helgstrand dressage.

The auction had good prices. Top-seller was Jerez, a son of Vivaldi out of Kebalia keur pref prest by Ferro, bred by Peter Wetzelaer from Schijndel. De striking black stallion kept on going and slowly his prize went up to 160.000 euro. That was the money Eric Koele and Reesink Horses wanted to pay for the youngster out of the Balia damline. The stallion had received a Wild Card during the KWPN Stallion Show. Koele: “We really liked him yesterday and tried if he was for sale. But he was not. Today he went into the auction so we decided to go for it. He is just really striking and out of a super damline.” Says the man from Turfhorst stud in Wezep, who also bought the stallion Invershin last year, that was KWPN approved last fall. Andreas Helgstrand paid 150.000 euro for the Fellini-son (out of Call Me Z by Florencio, breeder A. Pertijd from Etten Leur. “I had already seen him at the Oldenburg gradings. A very commercial horse with three excellent gaits. ‘I’ve got my focus on the sport for him”, explained the Danish horse dealer. The average price was 56.000 euro. The accepted stallions earned an average of 75000 euro. Two stallions went to Russia for 84.000 and 70.000 euro. Two stallions went to Sweden, and one to Scotland. The rest stayed in Holland.
