The winner of the 1.55m World Cup in Warsaw was Marek Lewicki with the Lupicor-son Abigej. Lennard de Boer was the winner of the 1.45m with the only eight year old VDL Edgar M (s.Arezzo VDL), that was also third in the 1.50.

In the World Cup, 36 combinations started, of which 5 left the Arena willingly and only two made it to the jump-off. The fastest round was for Marek Lewicki with Abigej (Lupicor out of Niki Nanita by Concorde, breeder L. van Trigt from Hoogersmilde), who won 30.000 euro. “I am very happy with this win.  Some very good pairs came in the arena and tge basic course was very tight. A lot of mistakes were made”, the Polish rider said afterwards. With Ragazza M sport-spr (Quidam de Revel out of Ragazza di Olympia by G.Ramiro Z) who is bred hy Dennis Musterd, Dawid Kubiak had one time-fault. He finished fifth which was enough to qualify for the finals.

Short turns and very careful. 

On Saturday Leonard de Boer had a nice win with Arezzo VDL-son VDL Edgar M (out of Aramee O.A. ster by Marlon, breeders E. and M. Meijer from Den Ham), which did well throughout the show.  Wiebe-Yde van de Lageweg of tge VDL Stud followed his rides on livestream. “We bought a half-share in Edgar M from his breeders as a foal. He does not jump as a typical Arezzo-son but does have a lot of scope and speed. Lennard could turn him nice and short. He is gelded so one day he will likely be sold. But I will do my utmost to get him with a good rider. He deserves that!” last year the chestnut made his mark in the Isah Cup and in Lanaken.
