Several horses did good business in the United States last weekend. The eleven-year-old Verdi-son  Bonjovi, ridden by Venezuelan rider Emanuel Andrade took second place in the three-star Hollow Creek Grand Prix of Lexington. The Nintender-offspring Dingeman also jumped into the top-10 at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show.

The three star show in Lexington had two Grand Prix’s: the Hollow Creek Grand Prix and the Commonwealth Grand Prix. Especially in the first-named Grand Prix, the KWPN horses made name for themselves. Although the experienced Frenchman Eric Navet took the win of 32.500 dollar, the Young Venezuelan rider Emanuel Andrade managed to win the second prize. Bonjovi’s breeding is one that doesn’t lie. Behind the top Grand Prix-sires Verdi and Corland we find the foundation stallions Heartbreaker and Concorde in his pedigree.

Dingeman

A ninth was for Mexican rider Santiago Lambre and the only nine-year-old Dingeman (Nintender out of Jolanels ster by Darnels, breeder F. Bankers from Nederweert-Eind). Dingemans’ dam, Jolanels is also used for dressagetype breeding several times, but now it proved that she also produced a top-jumper. In the other Grand Prix, the Commonwealth Grand Prix of the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, Eric Navet and the eleven-year-old KWPN Basimodo (Quasimodo Z out of Sinia-Nistria by Codexco, breeder A.M. Gillis from Hulten) took ninth place.
