It's Otto and Cantona TN approved for breeding
Last week, the four four-year-old jumper stallions in the KWPN Stallion Performance test in Ermelo had their final presentation. After their test, that took 21 days, two stallions could be approved for breeding; It’s Otto (s.Etoulon VDL) and Cantona TN (s.Codex One).
The stallion selection committee decided not to accept the cat.nr. 15 (Andiamo x Concorde) and cat.nr. 16 (Colman x Casco).
The Stallion Selection Comittee for jumpers gave both stallions that got approved a very good total of 84,5 points. It’s Otto (Etoulon VDL out of Uranda JB ster pref IBOP-spr by Coromino, breeder J.M. Breukink from Brummen) registered with Albert Zoer jr. scored the highest mark for scope, a 9. “Etoulon is a young stallion that does very well at international level, this stallion is one of his first offspring. It’s Otto is an uncomplicated stallion with a good to very good workability”, said the chair of the committee Cor Loeffen.
The son of Codex One who received the approved status, Cantona TN (out of Claudia Z s.Caretano, breeder Martien van de Bruggen from Goirle), registered with Team Nijhof got a very nice list of marks with a 9 for rideability. Loeffen: “Codex One jumps at the highest level. From this dam, but especially his granddam descend many international sport horses. The stallion has a very good work ehtic and is easy to ride.”
The honoring of the breeder and owners of these stallions will take place during the final presentation of the three-year-old stallions, on Saturday November 25th.
