Piet Peters has been appointed by the KWPN board as the new director of the KWPN. Peters was the interim director at the studbook organization since 6 August. That pleased both parties so well that the interim position is converted into a permanent position.

KWPN Chair Andries van Daalen: "We have opted for a new management structure with one General Director, who is responsible for the implementation of the established policy and who leads the office organization. The still to be appointed manager Breeding & Training Center - which reports to the director - will in due course give substance to the Breeding Policy and direct the inspection department and stable personel. We are currently looking for the right person for this vacancy. As General Board we are very pleased with the appointment of Piet Peters as General Director. Piet is an experienced director and during the time he has been here, he has found a lot of support among the employees. With the appointment of Piet and the new organizational structure, we think we have a good, solid base for the future of our association.

Piet Peters: "Over the past three months, I have been happy to lead the office organization. The KWPN is a wonderful Association with enthusiastic breeders, committed employees and of course a fantastic KWPN horse that has fans all over the world. There are plenty of opportunities to further expand the success of KWPN breeding. We are going to work on that in the near future, but the focus is above all on the basis: the studbook, the association and our members. I look forward to working together with the employees and our members on the future of the KWPN. "

Peters is chairman of the Dutch Welsh Pony and Cob Studbook and has bred several KWPN horses in the past. As a certified coach, he specializes in a variety of issues and has supported numerous organizations from his own company for coaching and interim assignments in recent years. Before that he worked for 35 years at Rabobank Nederland, including as Statutory Director of Companies and Commerce.
