The Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage kicked off Monday in Kronenberg. The level was high and the first 10 was given, which promises for the rest of the season!

In the Z Class, Hermès showed that he has improved since the World Championships for Young Dressage horses and took the convincing win in this class with 87 points. "Hermès was not competed since Ermelo. He responded as usual, luckily. When we were warming up, he felt great and I could also keep hold of that feeling in the arena.

The side gaits in trot and canter were very nice. He goes sideways beautifully. The jury praised the harmony, I got a 9 for that. He does exactly what is asked and always does his best", says Dinja van Liere about the son of Easy Game, bred by the Gijsbers family from Loosbroek (out of Bukkie keur pref EPTM dres from Flemmingh).
The second place was for Trafalgar under Riccardo Sannavio. With 84 points, the Totilas son (out of Paola from Lord Loxley, breeder Haupt- und Landgestüt Stiftung Brandenburgisches) was just ahead of Geniaal (Vivaldi from Wocky elite IBOP-dres PROK D-OC from Biotop). "I was also very satisfied with Geniaal”, says van Liere about the breeding product of the Traa family. “He has been showing at ZZ-Light in recent months, but such a stallion competition is a bit different. He picked it up well. Geniaal was very focused." The trot and canter parts were very good, but in the walk he got a bit loose from the bit and therefore the marks stayed on a 7.5. "That can be much better.” Fourth place was for Wynton-son Hitmaker under Jennifer Sekreve with 82 points. Hennessy (De Niro from Silhouette elite pref PROK from Jazz, breeder Family Ploegmakers - van Bavel) and Remy Bastings were fourth with 78 points.

Imposantos Wins in M Class
In the M class Imposantos showed again what he is worth. With 89 points, the Wynton-son took the win and thus remained ahead of Indian Rock (by Apache) who scored 88 points. Imposantos (Wynton out of Zarina elite IBOP-dres PROK van Krack C, breeder Willy Wijnen of Berlicum) was presented by Bart Veeze who was satisfied with the performance of the black stallion. "Trotting was abnormally good. I had secretly hoped for a half point more than this nine. He remains so beautiful in the rythm, so loose through the body and well in the contact”, says Bart Veeze about the rideable stallion who scored a 9 for harmony. Emmelie Scholtens presented Indian Rock (Apache out of Crisjena keur pref IBOP-dres of Vivaldi, breeder Jan de Bruin from Schelluinen), who took second place. This pair scored 8.5 for the walk, trot and harmony. His canter is great, but according to the jury he could be a bit quicker in the hindleg in trot. Renate van Uytert rode In Style (Eye Catcher from Sissy by Lorentin I, breeder Joop van Uytert) to 85 points and Iconic B (Bon Bravour from Niniek STV keur pref prest sport dres by Jazz) scored 84 points under the saddle of breeder Joyce Lenaerts.

Canter for a 10
In the L Class Marieke van der Putten rode the recently approved Jameson RS2 (v.Blue Hors Zack) to victory. With 92 points (with the ultimate 10 for the canter), the Pavo Cup winner remained far ahead of Just Wimphof.
"We had actually said not to give tens this evening, but we can not do anything else for this canter", said judge Mariette Sanders. "Everything is there: space, strength and above all, a lot of allure. The walk is pure and active, for very high marks we would like to see more overtrack. The trot is beautifully light-footed and with plenty of shoulder freedom, a 9." With twice a 9.5 for the harmony and overall impression, the Zack son bred by Stal 104 (out of Atilinda M keur pref IBOP-dres sport dres of Negro) got the victory. Second place (89 points) was for Just Wimphof (De Niro from Rastede elite sport-dres IBOP-dres PROK by Riccione, breeder: C. Rienks-Kramer), who was ridden by Renate van Uytert-van Vliet. She had a good day in this first episode of the stallion competition, because also the exceptionally high-quality Johnny Depp (Bordeaux from Wiana ster pref prest by Jazz, breeder J.A. & B Naber from Vredenheim) went to 86 points and third place.
