At the last members meeting (December 2018), Minne Hovenga joined the KWPN Board of Directors. The process began in October when the confidential advisory committee made their selection from the pool of candidates, after which several discussions ensued. 

Minne Hovenga is an amiable person, who can represent the position and the views of the members well; and he has great historical knowledge of the KWPN. Furthermore, he has a broad knowledge of and a large network in the equestrian sector and, in that capacity, has held various positions, including management. In addition, he is experienced in dressage horse- and jumper breeding, as well as the affiliated technologies. Minne Hovenga was appointed upon recommendation by the confidentiality committee and therefore fills the vacancy due to the departure of Annechien ten Have-Mellema.
