The curtains closed for Jeroen Dubbeldam's SFN Zenith on Sunday, as the 15-year-old gelding was thanked off with an emotional ceremony at the Dutch Masters. At the end of the ceremony, Springpaarden Fonds Nederland (SFN) gifted SFN Zenith to Dubbeldam.

Dubbeldam and SFN Zenith became historical when they won both the individual and team gold at the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014 as well as the European Championships in Aachen in 2015. The 15-year-old gelding also jumped at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, where he finished 7th individually after ending the second round of the individual final 0,02 seconds over the time allowed which stopped them from taking part in the jump-off for another medal.

We look back at Sunday's ceremony at The Dutch Masters, as we wish Zenith a happy retirement!
