Tomorrow at 3 p.m., fifteen exclusive jumping foals will be auctioned at the KWPN Championships during the final day of the Blom Cup for Young Jumping Horses. Looking for a promising foal? Have a look at the collection, come to Ermelo and make your bids! Are you not able to come? Bidding by telephone is also possible.

The selected foals are from young, talented KWPN-approved jumping stallions and out of mothers who have performed at least at 1.30m level or who have the ‘Prestatie’ predicate. Take for example the Kannan Jr. son Olympus, his mother jumped internationally at 1.50m level. Her oldest daughter is now at 1.35m level and is owned by world champion Simone Blum! Orvieto E also comes from a dam line that brings a lot of sport. The mother of this Jenssen VDL-son is a half-sister of the 1.40m horses Fair Diamond and Germette E (both by Indorado) and she jumped at 1.35m level herself. The great-grandmother produced, among others, the international 1.60m Grand Prix horse Royal Dream ridden by Dennis van Den Brink.

Olympic genes
The dam of Odin (s.Herakles) is the international two-star eventer Wacordia (s.Emilion). In combination with Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, this ‘ster’ mare already produced the international one-star eventer Ecordia. In addition, Wacordia is a half-sister of the international 1.50m jumper Edison D.N. (by Zirocco Blue VDL) and of the 1.40m horse Brisbane (by Indoctro). From this dam line also descends the international 1.50m horse Becordia (by Hold Up Premier) and many other sport horses. The Olympic stallion Rivaal (s.Monaco), who participated in the Hong Kong Olympic Games in 2008, is a half-brother of the dam of Oxford Alpha (s.Jardonnay VDL). This Zwinging Alpha (s.Fighting Alpha) performed at 1.35m level and gave several (inter)national 1.30 and 1.35m horses. And this is just a selection from the complete collection.

Presentation
Auctioneer Johan Wilmink has the task to provide all foals with a new owner. Prior to the auction, all foals will be presented in the main arena at 10.55 am. You can also view the foals in the stables. Our KWPN inspectors are happy to guide you.

In addition, all auction foals and the corresponding dam line can be viewed in the KWPN Database, even if you are not a KWPN (database) member.
