The mare Karoline (s.For Gribaldi) is one of the horses that is a part of the pilot at the KWPN center which helps breeders with the sale of their young horses.

 

Karoline is offered for sale on behalf of her breeder, through mediation of the KWPN. She is being trained and is stabled at the KWPN center in Ermelo. This five-year-old mare sired by For Gribaldi comes out of the elite mare Eveline (s.San Remo). Karoline her half-brother Ice (s.Estoril), performs on Z1 level. Moreover, Karoline comes from the dam line of the ZZ-Zwaar horse Huupke and of the KWPN approved stallions Hermès and Johnny Cash!

Pilot young horse training and sales
From several breeder café’s it became clear that the KWPN members would like to be supported with the sales of their young horses by the studbook. “We recently started with the sales of young horses at the KWPN center. We are looking at the possibility to facilitate the members regarding sales. Free stables will be used to saddle break, train and mediate in the sales of young horses and if necessary help with export.” Wim Versteeg, who is closely connected to the pilot, explains.

Wim continues: “The stable team of the KWPN is built for saddle breaking and training young horses. The owners will stable their horses at the center, for two months at first in the pilot phase for the amount of €650 euros a month (excl. VAT). After two months they can decide to pick up their horse or let them be trained for longer or to offer them for sale, in which the KWPN will mediate.

When a horse is ready for the sale, the KWPN will offer the horse through their own channels. The transaction will be completely between the KWPN member and the buyer of the horse, the KWPN does not act as a broker.
