Varied group of Gelder stallions selected
Seven stallions appeared in front of the stallion selection committee Gelder horse this afternoon. The judge selected broad. Six stallions were selected for the performance test and two stallions were declared premium.
Chairman Marloes van der Velde explained. “We want to breed a varied horse withing the Gelder breeding. We have stallions in which we hope to test for all disciplines, this way there is something for everyone.”
The two premium stallions are totally different, with each their own qualities. The Expression-son Mexpression, bred by H. Bruil, stood out by his expressive way of moving. The stallion has a very appealing front. Maestro is a whole other type. The chestnut stallion showed a lot of loose movement and has a clear harness horse type that he got from his sire Eebert. His dam is the star PROK mare Honey by Vitens, that also was very recognizable in the appealing stallion that showed a lot of bravoure in the arena. He was bred by wijlen G.H. Hofs. Both stallions were awarded a breeders premium.
