Last night the United-son Bordeaux was declared keur stallion! The 14-year-old stallion has proven to give better dressage horses every time. With Renate van Uytert – van Vliet he entered the arena in the Brabanthallen. His breeder Marron Lisman of Lisman Stables BV was present during the ceremony.

As a three-year-old he was the champion of the stallion selection and later he was approved for breeding. Together with Eva Müller he earned a bronze medal at the world championship for young dressage horses in Verden, and at the end of 2015 he made his debut in the Big Tour. After this he was successful on Grand Prix level with Isabel Freese.

From Bordeaux his first crops we see some very successful offspring, like the Big Tour horses Bohemian (ds.Samarant) with Catharina Dufour, Bluetooth (ds.Riccione) with Ingrid Klimke and multiple Small Tour horses among which Ferdeaux (ds.Ferro) with Hans Peter Minderhoud and Geronimo (ds.Gribaldi) with Floor van Kempen. Besides this Bordeaux is the sire of Pavo Cup winners and world championship young dressage horse-finalists Johnny Depp (ds.Jazz) of Renate van Uytert – van Vliet and Guadeloupe-Beau (ds.Vivaldi) of Kim van der Muren. Also in the sire line this stallion inherits in a positive way. He has seven KWPN-approved sons; Ferdeaux, Google, Grenoble, Kenzo US, Kilimanjaro, Livius and the recently approved champion of the Stallion Show 2019, Le Formidable.

That Renate van Uytert – van Vliet was in the saddle of Bordeaux wasn’t just for once. They have announced that the stallion is back at the stable where Renate van Uytert – van Vliet will ride the stallion. “Super nice! I am so happy that I can ride Bordeaux. I have ridden up to Small Tour level myself and it is so nice to ride a horse that already knows all the exercises, then you know what you train for with the young horses. Bordeaux is just a few weeks back at our stable but we still need to form a combination. I want to start him in the Small Tour and then hopefully Grand Prix.” Renate van Uytert – van Vliet responds enthusiastically. “He stands beside his son Johnny Depp, they are both just as sweet!”, Renate decides.
