The (inter)national demand for young dressage horses and show jumpers is high despite the corona crisis. Our members have indicated that they would like assistance in selling their young horses. The KWPN auction platform KWPN.auction offers the perfect opportunity for this, which is why the KWPN is organizing an online auction for three-year-old dressage horses and show jumpers for the second time this year! The auction will take place in mid-August.

In April, the second edition of the KWPN Online 3 & 4-Year-Old-Auction was successful. For 30,000 euros Mocca (by Vivaldi) became the auction hit of the evening. In total 62% of the horses went abroad.

For the upcoming auction we are looking for interesting KWPN-registered 3- and 4-year-old dressage horses and show jumpers again. A correct conformation, an interesting bloodline, healthy and a proven dam line are the ingredients for a successful sport or breeding career.

These aspects are a major factor in ultimately admitting the horses to the auction. The selection committee wants to present an interesting selection with a mix of young talented dressage horses and show jumpers. On condition that there is sufficient participation, all horses that are (for now) selected for the final selection and for the recording of photographs and videotapes will come to a later to be announced location.

In addition, as with the auction in 2020, horses can also be selected through the studbook inspection. These horses do not have to attend the selection day, but we would like to see them on the recording day at the end of July. If you are interested in offering your inspection horse for the auction, you can notify this via sales@kwpn.nl. The selection committee will then possibly select the horse for the auction based on its performance at the studbook inspection.

All horses participating in the auction must be fully veterinary examined, clinically and radiographically, including X-rays of the neck and back.
