Breeder premiums at WC Young Jumper Horses
From the 22nd until the 26th of September, the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses takes place in Lanaken. The best five-, six- and seven-year-old jumper horses are battling for the world titles. During these championships, breeder premiums are awarded to the breeders of KWPN-registered horses on behalf of the Friends of the KWPN.
Via the Blom Cup, a sizeable number of KWPN-horses have qualified for Lanaken, but also KWPN-registered horses from other countries participate in this WC. 36 countries are sending horses to Lanaken to contest for the titles. Many countries are represented by KWPN-horses. This Jumping World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, Friends of the KWPN award breeder premiums to the breeders of KWPN-horses that place in the top-three of each age category.
The first leg of the championships for 5-,6- and 7-year-old horses starts on Tursday September 23. On Sunday, the finals are ridden. To award these breeder premiums, the breeders of the medal winning KWPN-horses are contacted after the World Championships.
