Mark next week’s Wednesday, the second of February in your agenda! It is the start of the KWPN Stallion Selection, that revolves entirely around stallions for four days. The most important part of the program is the second-round viewing and the group divisions have now been published. 

The first two days, Wednesday and Thursday, are about the jumper stallions. The top suppliers are Amadeo van ‘t Vossenhof Z, Arezzo VDL and Asca Z, each is represented by three of their offspring. The first group starts at 10.00hrs on Wednesday. A total of 8 groups are viewed this day. Afterwards, the appointed jumper stallions will be presented in hand. This first day features offspring of, among others, Cape Coral RBF Z, Chacco Blue, Cornet Obolensky, Kannan Jr and United Touch S. 

First premium stallions
The second day kicks off at 08.00hrs with stallions in the second-round viewing. Five groups of stallions that include descendants of sires such as Arezzo VDL, Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof, Herakles, Jukebox, and Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof will give act de presence. At approximately 12.15hrs the appointed stallions are presented in hand. Directly afterwards, the most complete jumper stallions of the second-round viewing are awarded a premium. The program continues with a presentation of the jumper stallions that were approved in 2021, a masterclass about the eventer sports by Tim Lips, a presentation of the new predicate stallions, award ceremony of the KWPN Horse of the Year, a presentation of the jumper stallions out of the KWPN Select Sale and the finals of the Blom Stallion Competition Jumping. 

Dressage and Gelder stallions
The last two days are reserved for the dressage, harness and Gelder stallions. Friday February 4th, the second-round viewing for dressage stallions starts at 09.00hrs. The main suppliers among the dressage stallions are GLOCK’s Toto Jr. and Just Wimphof that each have seven offspring in the race for appointment. On Friday, offspring of among others All At Once, Apache, Blue Hors Farrell and Everdale enter the ring. After seven groups of dressage stallions, it is time for the Gelder stallions to show their natural talent. Following these classes, the appointed dressage and Gelder stallions are presented and eligible Gelder stallions are declared premium. The evening program consists of a presentation of the jumper stallions of the KWPN Select Sale, a presentation of the finalists of the Stallion Competition Gelder Horse, a presentation of the in 2021 approved dressage and Gelder stallions, a presentation of the new predicate stallions and The Road to Grand Prix and the award ceremony of the KWPN Horse of the Year. 

Harness stallions
On Saturday, the second-round viewing for dressage stallions continues at 08.00hrs. We will see a total of five groups, that include offspring of Deparon U.S., Dream Boy, For Ferrero, GLOCK’s Toto Jr., Kingston Blue Hors and Imposantos. At the end of this second-round viewing the appointed stallions are presented in hand and the most complete dressage stallions are invited to come back for the premium awarding after the harness stallions. Then the harness horse segment is kicked off with the presentation of the in 2021 approved stallions, followed by the second-round viewing for harness stallions and the subsequent premium round. 

Stallion competition dressage
Hereafter, the program continues with the dressage stallions. The finals of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competitions Dressage are ridden. The program also includes presentations of non-finalists and a presentation of the stallions born in the K-year (2015).
