As a token of appreciation and stimulus for breeding, ‘Friends of the KWPN’ will again award breeder premiums to various successful breeders at the KWPN Stallion Selection. Both the breeders of the premium stallions in the breeding directions dressage, jumping, Gelder horse, and Harness horse, and the breeders of the winning horses of the Blom Stallion Competition Jumping and the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage will receive a cheque. 

The breeders of KWPN horses that reached the top 10 of the 2021 Horsetelex-ranking and the 2021 WBFSH-ranking are also granted a breeder premium. The breeder premiums are only handed to a breeder if the breeder is a KWPN member at the time of the award ceremony and if the horse was registered at the KWPN as a foal. When a breeder is unable to attend the award ceremony, they will receive the premium at home at a later time.

Many breeders sell their horse as a youngster because they cannot keep all horses or because they do not have the possibility to keep a horse until it reaches the highest level. Often it is not the breeder, but the riders, dealers and owners that invest and make money off these horses. You thoroughly enjoy all successes of your homebred horse, an ambassador of your breeding. This is one of the reasons why the ‘Friends of the KWPN’s foundation was established. They support the KWPN breeders by awarding breeder premiums to breeders of successful horses, both in sport and breeding.
