28 jumper stallions appointed for presentation
The stallion selection committee was off to a good start today as it was able to select 28 stallions for the presentation of appointed stallions, among them quite a few genetic gems.
Chairman Cor Loeffen, Wout-Jan van der Schans and newly appointed Eric van der Vleuten inspected eight groups of stallions today. Out of the 61 viewed stallions, 28 are invited back for the last presentation tonight. One stallion was referred to the after-inspection.
The Cornet Obolensky-son Cape Coral RBF Z was the most successful sire today as three of his offspring were selected. United Touch S and Conthargos both saw two sons advance. A remarkable share of the stallions descends from solid performance lineages and is therefore genetically interesting for breeding. The presentation of appointed stallions was planned at 18.00hrs, but the program is a tad behind. In this presentation all stallions receive an individual commentary, and the committee announces which stallions may come back tomorrow for the premium round.
