Gelder stallion Matiz passes performance test
The Gelder stallion Matiz (s.Eebert) has passed his performance test after a successful saddle presentation at the outdoor site in Ermelo.
“This is a stallion with a clear Gelder stamp that carries out his work with a good attitude. Especially his walk and canter stood out under the saddle, and he furthermore showed a good jump. His performance at the outdoor terrain was characterized by great rideability and wiliness to work”, says Marloes van der Velden, chairman of the stallion selection committee Gelder Horse.

Matiz (Eebert out of Honey ster PROK by Vitens, bred by G.H. Hofs of Varsseveld) was awarded an 8 for the walk and canter and a 7 for the trot and posture while the ability of the movement was valued at a 7.5. The overall jumping ability received a 7.5 as well, as the technique and carefulness were marked an 8 and the attitude a 7.5.
Approved
The stallion has now met all the requirements and is henceforth definitively KWPN-approved in the breeding direction Gelder Horse. Coming fall, this stallion must participate in the stallion competition for the first time.
