Top marks for Lightning Star RR in semi-final Pavo Cup
Scoring 87.6 points it was Ferguson-daughter Lightning Star RR that enchanted the jury the most in the semi-final of the Pavo Cup for six-year-olds. Last year, she was declared vice-champion of the Pavo Cup and secured a medal at the WC for Young Dressage horses. She is clearly in top shape, is this a prelude to more?
Joyce van Rooijen-Heuitink and Gerdine Maree were asked to judge this age class. “We have seen many complete dressage horses; it is a plus in breeding that increasingly more horses also display a good walk.”
Lightning Star RR
Elite mare Lightning Star (Ferguson out of Daily Enjoy elite pref IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by De Niro, bred by Titan Wilaras of Riel) has made his first step towards the title. “This mare exhibits abundant technique and ample activity. The work comes so natural and easy to her, and Kirsten presented her in a pleasant manner.” Kirsten Brouwer also presented Lennoxwaard (El Capone out of Wintana Waard elite pref prest EPTM-dres PROK by Jazz, breeder L.S.M. van Rijn ofNieuwland), that was placed third today with 84.8 points. Robin Heiden came in second aboard the Jazz-offspring Lakewood (out of Entebbe elite IBOP-dres PROK by Ufo, bred by Stoeterij Broere of Alblasserdam) that was awarded 85.4 points.
