Lightning Star triumphs in Pavo Cup final
Ferguson-daughter Lightning Star held on to her leading position in the Pavo Cup final for six-year-old dressage horses. Guest rider Eva Möller awarded the top talent a 9.5.
Kirsten Brouwer has piloted Lightning Star (Ferguson out of Daily Enjoy elite pref IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by De Niro, bred by Titan Wilaras of Riel) through many remarkable performances. The mare was declared vice-champion of the Pavo Cup last season and secured bronze at the World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Today she took home the win. Eva Möller: “A true powerhouse! You do not have to activate her hind quarters at all, she has an active hind leg by nature. What a talented horse for the future.”
Best gelding
Another successful championship for offspring of the stallion Ferguson. His son Lord Platinum (out of How Pretty Platinum ster by Bretton Woods, bred by Titan Wilaras of Riel) danced to the second position after obtaining the highest score in the first round of the final with Curro Benitez Sanchez. Eva gave the elegant gelding a 9. “What a scopey horse. Uphill and swinging and with so much ability to collect.”
High level

The gelding of Meghan Mühlebach placed third. “This is a very nice, modern horse with lots of elasticity. He is willing to go forward and wants to please.
