After two days, the stallion selection committee has already selected 42 stallions for the second round viewing. Like yesterday, some very interesting stallions set foot in the arena today. 

The stallion selection committee assessed 34 stallions today, 20 of which were invited to the next round. Among them were multiple offspring of the stallions Chacoon Blue (3), Cornet Obolensky (2), Conthargos (2) and Dominator Z (2). “It was a productive day and we were able to select a group of complete stallions again. Stallions that meet the set requirements for conformation and pedigree and showed us a good performance. We also selected multiple stallions that descend from sires that have no to very few sons approved at the KWPN, and some horses that originate from renowned dam lines. So, from a genetic point of the view the collection for Den Bosch has also started to take shape”, chairman Cor Loeffen shares. Besides 19 stallions that were born in 2020, the six-year-old Legend D (Etoulon VDL out of Eurostar PROK by Dubai, bred by H.J.M. van Dartel) of Lennard de Boer received a positive evaluation as well. “This stallion was assessed on conformation and pedigree today and has met the criteria. In the coming two shows of the stallion competition, his jumping skills under saddle will be reviewed by us.  Then we decide whether we appoint him for the performance test.”
