Six stallions head to the final presentation

Today both stallion selection committees met in Ermelo for the evaluation of the stallions participating in the spring performance test. One dressage stallion and five jumping stallions will proceed to the final presentation this coming Saturday.

KWPN approves showjumping stallion Diachron for breeding

The KWPN has approved the sixteen-year-old international showjumping stallion Diachron for breeding. The stallion selection committee for jumping evaluated the stallion, bred by Paul Schockemöhle, and gave a positive recommendation for approval. The KWPN Board has formalized this recognition.

Performance Test Starts with Eight Stallions

Six jumper stallions and two dressage stallions were successfully presented today for the spring performance test. The final presentation is scheduled for March 14.

​The second inspection has produced an interesting group of dressage stallions that will now have the opportunity to prove themselves in the performance test. A total of 46 stallions earned an invitation.

Magnifiek wins Oregon Trophy for the fourth time

On Saturday afternoon, the grandstands of the KWPN Stallion Show trembled with enthusiasm during the ever-spectacular Oregon Trophy, which was contested for the 28th time this year. Talent convincing and loudly acclaimed harness horse champion

​Twelve harness horse stallions were entered for the second inspection during the KWPN Stallion Show on Saturday. Ten of them actually appeared in the arena, six of which were selected for the performance test. Two of those stallions were invited for the championship round.

​The Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage class L was won by the Kjento son Renzo. The stallions in this youngest age category did not compete in a final during the KWPN Stallion Show this evening, but were presented in a showcase. The overall standings had already been decided in the qualifying rounds.

After Arie Hamoen had provided the commentary on the Gelderland stallions in the Stallion Competition, he was asked to remain in the arena for a moment. Jacques Maree then presented Arie with a beautiful horse sculpture in recognition of his many merits.

Excellent walking Power Dutch takes the lead in HC class M

After the qualifiers of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage, Thamar Zweistra and the eye-catching grey stallion Power Dutch were still in second place, but they made up the deficit in the final this evening. With a score of 85.2 points, the son of Glock’s Toto Jr not only won the day class but also claimed the overall competition title.

Expressive Obsession Taonga claims Z-level Stallion Competition title

The KWPN Stallion Show provides the stage today for the finals of the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage. The first championship sash was just awarded to the Vitalis son Obsession Taonga, who impressed under Lara van Nek with a score of 86.4 points.
