Launch of the new KWPN platform

At the beginning of April, the KWPN will take a major step forward in the further digitalization of the organization with the launch of a new online platform. This platform consists of a completely redesigned website, a new database, and an updated “My KWPN” environment. In addition, KWPN will introduce an app, allowing members to have important information readily available on their smartphones at all times.

He saw it first: Gertjan van Olst’s eye for talent

Gertjan van Olst has been part of the top level of the sport for many years and has scouted numerous Grand Prix and Olympic horses at a young age. Together with eight colleagues, he recently launched a new initiative, Dutch Dressage Traders. Dutch dressage professionals launch new auction

Rom Vermunt, Gert Jan van Olst, Jeroen Witte, Marcel van Manen, Diederik van Silfhout, Jorg van Os, Peter Wetzelaer, Sjoerd van Leeuwen and Sjaak van der Lei have joined forces in a new initiative within the dressage sport. The promising collection is available to view as of today and has been selected by this group of professionals, all of whom have built an impressive reputation in both sport and breeding.

Vitalis embryo sold to Portugal for €18,000 in KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction

With €18,000 paid for the Vitalis embryo out of the mare Roletta PS (s.Revolution), the KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction, which concluded yesterday, proved successful. The dressage-bred embryo, originating from a strong dam line including Sandro Hit and Diamond Hit, was purchased by a buyer from Portugal.

All six presented stallions approved

The final presentation brought the desired result for all participating stallions. As a result, five jumper stallions and one dressage stallion have been added to the KWPN stallion studbook.

Starting Order Final Presentation Spring Performance Test Published

On Saturday 14 March, the final presentation of the Spring Performance Test will take place at the KWPN Centre in Ermelo. During this presentation, the final assessment will be conducted for the stallions that have completed the 21-day performance test.

Selection process for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses announced

The FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses is an event where sport and breeding come together. In Verden, the best five-, six-, and seven-year-old dressage horses compete for the world titles. Combinations can register for the selection process from the end of March.

Six stallions head to the final presentation

Today both stallion selection committees met in Ermelo for the evaluation of the stallions participating in the spring performance test. One dressage stallion and five jumping stallions will proceed to the final presentation this coming Saturday.

KWPN approves showjumping stallion Diachron for breeding

The KWPN has approved the sixteen-year-old international showjumping stallion Diachron for breeding. The stallion selection committee for jumping evaluated the stallion, bred by Paul Schockemöhle, and gave a positive recommendation for approval. The KWPN Board has formalized this recognition.

Performance Test Starts with Eight Stallions

Six jumper stallions and two dressage stallions were successfully presented today for the spring performance test. The final presentation is scheduled for March 14.

KSS: Record Price of €345,000 for Champion Stallion Tony Gold

The KWPN Select Sale was the final program item of the KWPN Stallion Show, and it certainly did not go out quietly. For a record-breaking price of €345,000, the newly crowned champion stallion and wildcard Tony Gold (s.Glock’s Toto Jr.) was sold.

​No fewer than nine dressage stallions returned for the presentation of the premium stallions, powered by Pavo. The Glock’s Toto Jr. son Tony Gold was crowned champion.

46 selected stallions form a strong crop

​The second inspection has produced an interesting group of dressage stallions that will now have the opportunity to prove themselves in the performance test. A total of 46 stallions earned an invitation.

Magnifiek wins Oregon Trophy for the fourth time

On Saturday afternoon, the grandstands of the KWPN Stallion Show trembled with enthusiasm during the ever-spectacular Oregon Trophy, which was contested for the 28th time this year. Stallions Olympus JB and Magnifiek proved evenly matched, but in the end the battle was decided in favour of Magnifiek.

KWPN Select Sale for Dressage Stallions Starts Shortly

At approximately 5:20 p.m., the KWPN Select Sale for dressage stallions will begin. No fewer than three premium stallions, including the wildcard, are preparing to enter the auction.

Talent convincing and loudly acclaimed harness horse champion

​Twelve harness horse stallions were entered for the second inspection during the KWPN Stallion Show on Saturday. Ten of them actually appeared in the arena, six of which were selected for the performance test. Two of those stallions were invited for the championship round.
