Vira (Jazz x Whinny Jackson)

With an outstanding second place finish in the first FEI Nations Cup competition in eventing, the Dutch team proved their world-class talent and readiness for the Olympic Games. The three-star event was held inFontainebleau,France.

Rabo Talent of the Year, Elaine Pen, laid claim to fifth place individually with the Jazz daughter Vira (out of Option G by Whinny Jackson, breeder: I. van Rossum-van den Heuvel of Maren-Kessel).

Tim Lips rode Concrex Oncarlos (Faram out of Dolca keur prest byOldenburg, breeder: J. Eefting of Roswinkel) to tenth place, and Merel Blom ended 15th with Umberto DB (Oscar out of Noelle U by Vincent, breeder: W.A. den Besten-Bosman of Oldenbroek).

"We competed collectively and performed outstandingly," said a very content Martin Lips, the Dutch team coach.
