Dream Boy bids farewell at the KWPN Stallion Show
After a long and successful career, during which the Vivaldi son became a stalwart for the Dutch team, Glock's Dream Boy is retiring from competitive sports. On the Friday evening of the KWPN Stallion Show, the general public will have one last opportunity to enjoy the presence of the black premium stallion.
With Hans Peter Minderhoud, Glock's Dream Boy represented the Netherlands at four international championships, including the Tokyo Olympic Games. In 2019, the duo secured team silver at the European Championships in Rotterdam.
Bronze in Verden
As a young horse, the breeding product of Tim Coomans underwent training with Gerdine Maree, earning a bronze medal in Verden at the age of six.
Premium
In 2022, the Vivaldi son (out of Resia elite prest PROK) was declared premium. This recognition was partly due to his offspring's success at mare inspections and the approval of three sons. Jerveaux's son New Dreams is Glock's Dream Boy's first approved grandson.
Remarkable achievements
In the Pavo Cup, horses like Imagine (by Jackson), Dutch Dream (by Fürst Romancier), and Johnny B.Goode (by Tietse D) displayed remarkable achievements. Several offspring have now reached Grand Prix level, including Holiday (ridden by Gerdine Maree), It's a Dream Boy (ridden by Diederik van Silfhout), and Iago (ridden by Liesbeth Geven). Just A Dream-STRH (by Jazz) impresses in the U25 with rider Kimberly Pap.
Farewell
In Den Bosch, the stallion bids farewell to the large audience. After several years of top-level competition, his athletic retirement begins where it all started: the KWPN Stallion Show, where he was selected and sold through the KWPN Select Sale as a three-year-old. Five years after saying goodbye to stablemate Johnson, the Friday evening of the KWPN Stallion Show promises to be very special once again, this time marking the farewell of another top horse from Hans Peter Minderhoud.
The KWPN Stallion Show is gearing up again. The world's largest stallion inspection will take place from January 31 to February 3 in Den Bosch. Ticket sales have already started, and KWPN members naturally receive a discount for the KWPN Stallion Show. It promises to be four fantastic days once again.
