Vinco-H (by Cero Blue TN) Canters to National Title with Top Canter
Last month, he already claimed the provincial title in Tolbert. Today, Vinco-H (by Cero Blue TN), bred by Hero Heeres, led a strong group at the National Foal Championship, securing the Virbac Foal Trophy.
Top Canter
Out of eleven jumper foals selected for the leading group—many sired by young stallions—it was Vinco-H, bred by Hero and his daughter Brenda Heeres from Stadskanaal (Cero Blue TN out of Chrisstien H, ster mare by Casantos), who received the highest marks.
“This is a very appealing, strongly built colt who showed an impressive canter both this morning in the Willem-Alexander Arena and again this afternoon on the main arena,” the jury noted. “Vinco-H canters with a lot of push-off and balance.”
A remarkable breeding success for the breeder from Groningen, who also reached the finals last year with a full brother of this foal.
“Amazing! You never expect this, although I did already know at home that I had a good one,” said the enthusiastic breeder. “He’ll be going to the Nijhof auction, so hopefully that brings more success.”
Promising First Crop
From the first crop of the recently exported Ruzgar VII S, now based in Canada, two athletic foals made it to the finals. Vaya Lou (out of Caya Lou by Cardento), bred by J.J.A. Nijboer from Enschede and Bart Blaauwgeers from Geesteren, was named Reserve Champion. “A long-lined foal with a lot of blood. She has an athletic build and canters lightly, with great balance.” Completing the podium was Vareina VDL, a daughter of Boston VDL (out of Pireina II, ster mare by Arezzo VDL), bred by VDL Stud. “An appealing, blood-type foal, also showing a very good canter.”
