KWPN Jumping breeders back in the top three of the Monthly WBFSH-studbook ranking
Since May, jumping breeders have returned the KWPN to the top three in the Monthly WBFSH-studbook ranking. In all international FEI competitions, horses can collect points; their results are ranked by success, and for each studbook, the six best-performing horses count toward the final ranking.
With 1,450 points, Imagine (Cassini Gold out of Nigel ster prest sport-spr by Lord Z, breeder C. Viscaal from Albergen) is the highest-ranked KWPN horse: standing proudly in third place. The striking gray gelding has only been paired with Kim Emmen since October 2023, but the pair has already recorded numerous clear rounds. Incredible also catches the eye, a son of Clinton out of the Heartbreaker daughter Unbelievable (ster prest PROK). With Daniel Coyle in the saddle, he competes successfully at 1.60m level, earning fifth place in the ranking with 1,358 points. Further down the list, in eleventh place, is Farrel (Cardento out of Becherry ster pref prest PROK by Stakkato), bred by VDL Stud from Beers FR. The fifteen-year-old bay gelding continues to compete actively with Daniel Coyle.
Successful Performances
One of the standout moments for Imperial HBF (Glasgow-W vh Merelsnest out of Carina VDL keur prest IBOP-spr by Original VDL, breeder L.J. Tinto from Bargeddie) was the Nations Cup in Rome, where he and McLain Ward won the 1.60m competition. Imperial HBF ranks 27th in the overall standings. Also performing strongly is Karonia.L sport-spr (Harley VDL out of Laronia-L keur prest by G. Ramiro Z), bred by They Lemmers from Beaxem. With Portuguese rider Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida, she won the CSI4* Grand Prix in Montefalco (1.55m), which contributes to her ranking at 41st place. Two spots lower, in 43rd, is EIC Julius Caesar (Couleur Rubin out of Cancari van Cancara, breeders Spexgoor Stables/L. Spexgoor from Gaanderen). With Max Kühner, he won the 1.60m GCL in Shanghai in May.
Other Disciplines
The KWPN does not only shine in jumping. In dressage, the studbook has led the ranking for eight consecutive years and remains untouchable at number one. KWPN breeding also holds its own in eventing, currently ranked third.
