The stallion competition season is about to kick off. Breeders can watch young KWPN stallions in action during the Anemone Horse Trucks Dressage Stallion Competitions and the Blom Showjumping Stallion Competitions. The dates and locations for the 2025/2026 season have now been confirmed.

The dressage and Gelderland stallions will start the season on Monday, 10 November in Kronenberg, followed by the showjumping stallions on Tuesday, 11 November. The competitions will then continue in IJsselmuiden and conclude early next year in Groningen. After three competition rounds, the finals will take place during the KWPN Stallion Show 2026. Visitors are welcome to watch the young stallions live, and those who cannot attend can follow the competitions via KWPN.TV.

Stallion Competition Obligations and Participation
Stallions approved as three-year-olds are required to participate in the stallion competitions as four- and five-year-olds. For older approved stallions, this obligation applies to the current and following year. Only stallions that have competed in all three qualifying competitions are eligible to participate in the finals during the KWPN Stallion Show. Stallions that have already fulfilled their competition obligation may compete for the day prizes, but will not be included in the final ranking.
