In the small final for the seven-year-olds, Ellen Zwijnenberg set the record straight with N-Special de Fony-Bo, a son of I’m Special de Muze bred by Koos van den Boogaard.

In the small final of the World Championships in Lanaken, the seven-year-olds faced a 1.40m course for the third day in a row. Riding N-Special de Fony-Bo sport-spr (I’m Special de Muze out of Refony elite pref prest PROK by Ahorn, breeder Koos van den Boogaard from Alphen), Ellen Zwijnenberg delivered a flawless round in a blistering time, more than two seconds faster than Olivier Philippaerts with Cornet King JS, a son of Cornet Obolensky. In the first and second qualifiers, N-Special de Fony-Bo had lowered a rail on both days, but in this decisive round, everything came together.

Triple Success for the Moerings Family
the seven-year-olds, Nabadu H keur sport-spr (Berlin out of Labadu by Lord Pezi, breeder A. Huisman from Staphorst) finished his championship strongly with a clear round in the top ten under Maximilian Lill. The KWPN-approved stallion Night Life VDL (Erco van ’t Roosakker out of Ialba VDL elite IBOP-spr PROK by Arezzo VDL), bred by VDL Stud, also impressed with a fast clear round under Luke Hill. In the six-year-old division, Ovinia (Ipsthar out of Kivinia sport-spr by I’m Special de Muze, breeder Geert Moerings from Roosendaal) jumped clear to finish third with Bas Moerings. The same rider also took twelfth place with the KWPN-approved stallion Ovinio (Ipsthar out of Kovinia sport-spr by Vigo d’Arsouilles, breeder Geert Moerings from Roosendaal), just behind Oleander (Falaise de Muze out of Iris Florentina by Dallas VDL, breeder G. Maris from Berg en Dal from) ridden by Giovanni Consorti. A third Moerings-bred horse, Omydesther (Vigo d’Arsouilles out of Bardesther keur sport-spr prest by Cardento), delivered another clear round to finish 18th under Katinka van Nieuwenhuyzen.
