In the run-up to the KWPN Stallion Show 2026, entries are now open for the First Viewing powered by AJ Bedrijfsdiensten. From December 9 to 17, the KWPN Center in Ermelo will once again be dedicated to the stallion selection for dressage, showjumping, and Gelder stallions. Do you have a quality stallion you would like to present at the First Viewing? Register your stallion now. Entries close on Wednesday, November 19.

The First Viewing begins with the dressage stallions, from December 9 to 13. The Gelder stallions will be presented on December 11 and 12, followed by the showjumping stallions from December 15 to 17. During this selection round, the nearly three-year-old stallions are presented to the stallion selection committee, which will determine which stallions are invited to the Second Viewing during the KWPN Stallion Show 2026.

Presentation under saddle
(Almost) four-year-old stallions may also be presented under saddle during the First Viewing. The Second Viewing in ’s-Hertogenbosch will then also take place under saddle. This method of testing aligns more closely with breeding goals and sport performance, and offers owners the opportunity to present stallions that have developed at a later stage.

You can easily register via MijnKWPN: log in with your membership number and password, and select the stallion you wish to enter. Once you click “save,” your registration is final.

Vaccinations and regulations
Please note: as of April 1, 2024, a revised primary influenza vaccination protocol applies to horses born in 2022 or later. Make sure your stallion complies with the veterinary requirements for participation. The primary influenza vaccination consists of three injections: The second vaccination must be administered no sooner than 21 days and no later than 60 days after the first. For horses born in 2022 and 2023, this interval is 21 to 92 days. The third vaccination must be administered at least 120 days and no more than 6 months and 21 days after the second, and then annually within 12 months thereafter. For participation in the Second Viewing, the first two vaccinations are sufficient, provided the deadline for the third vaccination has not yet passed. For horses born before January 1, 2022, no changes apply if their vaccination schedule is already in order. It is also not permitted to completely remove tactile hairs (whiskers) around the mouth and eyes. Compliance will be monitored by the officials present.
