Performance test starts with 12 dressage stallions
In addition to the 19 jumper stallions, 12 dressage stallions have taken up stables at the KWPN Centre. One dressage stallion has been referred, and the test has been terminated for two others.
The dressage stallions were presented under their own rider for the third time during the delivery for the performance test. Afterwards, the stallions underwent a veterinary inspection.
Progress
One stallion has been referred to the spring performance test. “That is Street Art, the Mowgli V.O.D. son. We assess the progress of each stallion during the saddle presentations, and it is in the best interest of both the horse and the registered parties that the horses are able to handle the work optimally. In addition, we have terminated the performance test for two other stallions,” explains committee chair Bart Bax, referring to Solid Rock (s.McLaren) and the four-year-old Raece’s (s.Jameson RS2).
“The stallions that have started the 21-day performance test have been found to be well-trainable and have already shown promising development over the three saddle presentations. Naturally, we hope they continue this progress in the coming weeks under the riders during the test. Under the guidance of committee member Johan Hamminga, the riders will work with the stallions, and next Tuesday we will have another official evaluation moment. It is a hopeful start, with what currently appears to be a strong leading group and a broad middle group. We look forward to seeing how the stallions develop.”
