KWPN Recognises Party in de Hus
The KWPN has recognised Party in de Hus. The jumping stallion inspection committee issued a positive assessment of the Kannan son, after which the General Board has formally confirmed the recognition.
Over the past year, Party in de Hus enjoyed considerable success with Willem Greve in classes for young horses. Last autumn, he finished second in the Medium Tour at Indoor Friesland. The stallion, jointly owned by his rider and Canadian owner Jennifer Delorme, recently placed fourth in a 1.55m class in Basel and finished eighth in a 1.50m class in Mechelen. He has also demonstrated his quality in Geneva, Stuttgart, Maastricht and Oliva.
Kannan
Bred in France by Haras de Hus, Party in de Hus is a son of the KWPN-approved Kannan (by Voltaire). Kannan has ranked highly in the WBFSH Sire Rankings for many years; in 2025 he placed second, after topping the rankings in 2024. Kannan himself competed successfully at the highest level of the sport and has proven to be a world-class sire. Within the KWPN, Kannan has already produced ten approved sons and hundreds of top-level international show jumpers.
Sporting Dam Line
The dam of Party in de Hus is Miss Coriano. This Coriano daughter is the dam of seven international show jumpers, including the Grand Prix horse Cassirano del Rilate. Miss Coriano is a full sister to the Grand Prix horse Something Special. The Holsteiner dam line traces back to daughters of G. Ramiro Z, Landgraf and the Thoroughbred Manometer xx.
Exceptional Performances
Senior inspector Henk Dirksen is enthusiastic about the recognition of Party in de Hus: “He is a stallion with a strong pedigree, with a great deal of sport in the dam line. At nine years old, he is considered one of the best show jumpers in the world of his age group, and within his generation he shows exceptional quality. Party in de Hus has already delivered outstanding performances with Willem Greve, which is why we are pleased to recognise him for KWPN breeding. Party in de Hus has a very good model and a very correct foundation. He could be a good match for many Dutch mares.”
VHO Trophy
Party in de Hus is already approved by the AES. The conformation assessment raised no remarks. Party in de Hus has a genomic breeding value of 100 and is not a carrier of the WFFS gene. The stallion is available for breeding through Watermolen and Reini Tewis. During the KWPN Stallion Show, Party in de Hus will compete in the VHO Trophy on Thursday 29 January.
