With remarkable ease, scope and canter, Drummer 2000 TN Z claimed victory in the class M of the Blom Stallion Competition under Willem Greve, successfully defending his title.

Six stallions came to the start in the class M of the Blom Stallion Competition. Based on the qualification points, it was already clear that the battle would mainly be between Pharao (Vigo d’Arsouilles out of Donnalina ster pref prest PROK by Indoctro, breeder/owner Gebr. Lohuis from Nijverdal) with Justin Zwartjens and Drummer 2000 TN Z (Diamant de Semilly out of China Touch Hero by Chin Chin, breeder Stud 2000) under Willem Greve. The latter won this class last year with Kars Bonhof.

An honour to ride him
Both stallions qualified for the five-horse jump-off with great ease. As the last starter, Willem Greve knew exactly what he had to do, as Justin and Pharao had taken the lead with a very fast round. “Drummer is truly a very special horse; it is simply an honour to be able to ride a stallion like this. I don’t usually like riding that fast with horses that have such a big future ahead of them, but he jumps with so much ease that you also really want to win. It’s an amazing feeling that it worked out,” said the top rider. Greve and Drummer finished almost one and a half seconds faster than Justin and the very competitive Pharao. “Pharao jumps clear very often and I can really rely on him in the course. He is extremely careful and performs very consistently,” Justin Zwartjens commented. Third place went to Pinacolada van Seldsum (Dominator Z out of I-Nabalia SMH ster pref PROK D-OC by Namelus R, breeder Minne Hovenga), also double clear, ridden by owner Joy Lammers. With two strong rounds, he once again demonstrated his considerable potential.
