The Grand Prix stallion Deifeldt’s King van de Landhorst has been approved for the Gelder breeding direction. The Gelder horse stallion selection committee is positive about the stallion bred by F.J.M. Beurksen from Didam, and the KWPN General Board has now formally confirmed the approval.

Deifeldt’s King van de Landhorst has recently started competing at Grand Prix level with Jean-René Luijmes. The eleven-year-old stallion is by the IWH stallion Deifeldt, himself a descendant of the Grand Prix stallion Zethar, who competed at the highest level with Stephanie de Frel and Emma van den Hooven. Deifeldt’s King van de Landhorst is out of the ster mare Kiona, who earned her sport predicate through her Z2 classification. Kiona is a daughter of the approved stallion Abrilon (s.Ahoy) and, when bred to Sander, also produced a ster mare competing at ZZ-Licht level.

Strong Gelder types
As part of the approval process, the offspring of Deifeldt’s King van de Landhorst were evaluated. The uniform group stands out for its strong Gelder  horse type, solid toplines and plenty of bone. Based on his type, sport performance and the quality of his offspring, the Gelder horse stallion selection committee believes that this stallion can be of added value to the Gelder breeding direction.

Requirements
Deifeldt’s King van de Landhorst meets the KWPN radiographic requirements in force since 2012. His pedigree is proven on both the sire’s and dam’s side, and the stallion is not a carrier of the WFFS gene.
