Horses2fly invests in welfare and full guidance in international horse transport
The demand for international horse transport continues to grow. To optimally support horse owners, Horses2fly is investing in further professionalization of guidance and horse welfare surrounding intercontinental transport.
An important part of this is the internal supervision of quarantine and health procedures. For destinations outside Europe, quarantine is often mandatory. Horses2fly has a veterinarian on site, enabling medical checks, blood tests and documentation to be handled efficiently and carefully in-house. Horses staying in quarantine remain under continuous veterinary supervision. The horses are accommodated in spacious stables where every detail has been carefully considered. They are also provided with optimal exercise suited to the individual horse and, if desired, can be trained.
Welfare during transport
Welfare also remains central during transport. Horses are transported to the airport in Horses2fly’s own modern, fully equipped truck, featuring an advanced ventilation and cooling system and rubber flooring for safety and comfort. In the truck, the horses stand loose in their own compartment, with access to food and water, ensuring calmness and freedom of movement. This method also helps prevent shipping fever. During intercontinental flights, an experienced attendant always travels with the horses. Owners receive a live tracking link of the flight, as well as photos and personal updates.
Focus on safety
“International transport requires more than just logistics,” says Alex Nijboer of Horses2fly. “We want to completely unburden owners while ensuring that the welfare of the horse is always our top priority.” With this approach, Horses2fly emphasizes its focus on safety, transparency, animal welfare and quality in horse transport worldwide.
