Verdi-offspring C’Est Moi wins Norwegian Championships
Last weekend, the Norwegian Indoor Championships were organised in Posgrunn. The merely 25 years of age Cathrine Jerring secured the title in the senior division aboard KWPN-horse C’Est Moi.
Cathrine Jerring and C’Est Moi (Verdi out of Oceaanfee D prestatie by Animo, bred by Chris van Engeland and Karin van Veldhoven of Westerhoven) performed exclusively zero-fault rounds in this championship, thereby seizing the victory. “I am thrilled with this win”, comments Cathrine enthusiastically. “C’Est Moi is very special, and I have dreamed about this medal around my neck for a long time. I had not expected we would win, but I knew we had a shot. C’Est Moi has been consistent for a long time now, so he certainly deserves this medal.”
Big heart
The rider has been riding the gelding since 2015, she participated in two European Championships for Young Riders with him. “C’Est Moi has made all my dreams come true. He is the best horse I have ever ridden, and I am so grateful to call him mine. C’Est Moi is very careful and has an incredibly big heart. He knows what he is capable of and is eager to show it. He has lots of character but is still a gentle spirit. This horse is my everything and my best friend, I don’t think I will ever ride a horse like him again. I could not have wished for a better horse.”
Estolga
C’Est Moi wasn’t the only KWPN-horse at the Norwegian podium. The bronze went to Toulon-daughter Estolga (out of Olga ster pref prest PROK by Goodwill, bred by W. Litjens) ridden by Mathilde Kristine Kalland.
