Dressage stallions right on track in performance test
On Friday, the stallion selection committee dressage gathered in Ermelo to evaluate the three-year-old stallions. Chairman Bert Rutten concludes that so far, the stallions can be trained and assessed well.
At the moment, the KWPN Centre in Ermelo houses nine dressage stallions. Every Tuesday they are trained under the guidance of committee member Johan Hamminga and every Friday the entire committee is present for an intermediate evaluation. Last Friday, a four-year-old dressage stallion by Glocks Toto Jr. was also presented to the committee, but he was not given the green light to start his performance test. “In general, the three-year-old stallions show good rideability and trainability. We have only just started, so things will become clearer the coming weeks. The next assessment of the stallions is Friday and we will also discuss our findings with the owners then”, explains Bert Rutten. The final exam of the jumper, dressage and Gelder stallions takes place on April 22.
