Two Gelder stallions registered in studbook and Ojee-B officially approved
Both Gelder stallions that participated in the spring performance test, were registered in the studbook with impressive scores to their names. Afterwards, the last year registered Ojee-B (s.Ibsen-B) received his list of marks from his performances under saddle. The stallion thereby obtained a full breeding license.
The stallion selection committee Gelder Horse, composed of chairman Marloes van der Velden, Jan Pen and Arie Hamoen, awarded two Gelder stallions a passing score in the final exam of the spring performance test.
9 for Olaf Official
One of the two registered Gelder stallions is the premium stallion Olaf Official (Henkie out of Diamant ster by Sirius, bred by G.J.W. Roerdinkholder of Winterswijk Kotten). The stallion received a 9 for the walk, 8s for the trot and carefulness on the jump, 8,5s for his canter, posture, performance on the outdoor terrain, rideability, mindset and perspective as a dressage horse. Olaf Offical furthermore received a 7,5 for his jumping technique and perspective as a jumper horse. “Olaf Official is a more than sufficiently developed stallion that has a sufficient Gelder type. He is an honest, reliable, willing stallion with a great mindset and eagerness to go. The stallion is very willing to work and is very trainable”, says chairman Marloes van der Velden.
Obrian can infuse jumper genes
The Vigaro-son Obrian (out of Hacomijn ster PROK by W V Saron, bred by H. ter Horst of Vragender) obtained his best marks for his jumping qualities. He was awarded an 8,5 for the technique, eights for the carefulness, outdoor performance, the mindset, and perspective as a jumper. His walk and canter earned a 7,5 and the stallion received a 7 for his trot, posture, rideability and perspective as a dressage horse. “We tested Obrian because this stallion can infuse some jumper genes into the Gelder population. The stallion was therefore tested more on the jumping aspects. Obrian is a well-developed, rectangular stallion that displays the Gelder features more than sufficiently. It is an honest stallion; he is easy to ride and has a good mindset and more than sufficient eagerness to go.”
Ojee-B officially approved
Ojee-B (Ibsen B out of Jorien Tilde PROK elite IBOP s.Rubus B, f: G.S.W. te Bokkel of Eerbeek) was registered in the studbook last autumn and recently performed his under saddle assessments to achieve the status of definitive approval. Today, the stallion received his list of marks and was declared a fully approved KWPN Gelder stallion. The committee gave Ojee-B an 8 for his walk and mindset under saddle. The trot, canter, and perspective as a dressage horse were awarded an 8,5. The posture even earned a 9. The son of Ibsen-B received a 8 for his jumping technique and a 7,5 for the carefulness and perspective as a jumper horse.
