Information inspection for crossbreeds gets a sequel
Last year, Ermelo hosted the very first information inspection for crossbreeds of KWPN horses and Iberian horses. This information inspection, which attracted great public interest last year, will get a sequel during the KWPN Championships.
On Friday August 11, Iberian horse enthusiasts and those interested in crossbreeds can indulge themselves. In the Willem Alexander arena, the programme is kicked off at 14.30 hours with a welcome speech by Bert Rutten, in which the pilot will be explained further. It is followed by a presentation of Bastiaan de Recht aboard Justiciero and Jennifer Harnett and her Grand Prix stallion Eximio. A maestro in classical riding, De Recht will shed some light on the training of Iberian horses.
Nachtwacht DBD
Under the guidance of Bert Rutten, Esther van Velzen presents the Glock’s Toto Jr.-son Nachtwacht DBD (out of Sorpressa XXXV by Joyero XXI, bred by M. Nouwens of Mussel). This duo will go on a joint exploration into the influences of Dutch and Iberian horses. Would you like to exchange views on these crossbreeding products? After the masterclass, Bert Rutten is available to answer questions.
Inspection
At 16.00 hours the programme resumes in the main arena with the foal inspection of crossbreeds (registered in Register A and register B, from a combination of an Iberian dam and KWPN sire). Bert Rutten will explain the distinct KWPN and Iberian traits. The entire inspection can be followed via the livestream at KWPN.nl and KWPN.tv.
Informative afternoon
We may look forward to a fun and informative afternoon, where we can learn a lot about the strong suits of both the KWPN horse and Iberian horse and how they may enhance each other. Registration for the inspection is possible via KWPN.nl.
