An interesting collection has been assembled for the auction of promising three- and four-year-old horses. The mares Passiana (s.Taminiau), Perfect Dance (s.D'Avie) and Pollyrijke VR (s.Ghandi) will be in action at the national mare championship (NMK) on the 11th of August, and bidding for them and the rest of the collection will be open from August the 11th to 14th. This edition of the KWPN Auctions offers the opportunity to invest in genetically interesting horses with a high degree of natural talent.

The collection consists of 13 dressage and four showjumping horses. Nine dressage mares have already been to the mare inspection this year and have earned at least the ster predicate, with three of them delivering such convincing performances that they have been invited for the national mare championship. All four showjumping mares in this collection have successfully participated in the mare inspection as well.

NMK Mares
Two granddaughters of the top breeding mare Zoriana, known as the dam of -among others- the two-time World Champion Kjento (s.Negro), are part of this strong collection. The Taminiau mare Passiana, was bred from a half-sister of the KWPN approved stallion Mowgli V.O.D. (s.Desperado) and two NMK champion mares, and she has earned an invitation for the NMK herself. Passiana is closely related to the Negro mare Phileine, who has the same exceptional granddam. Also, the D'Avie mare Perfect Dance, who scored 85/85 at the mare inspection, is an interesting mare who is invited to the NMK. In the third generation, her damline leads back to the international Small Tour mare Romy of Leida Collins-Strijk, who is herself a half-sister to the Grand Prix horse Templeton's Honeymoon (s.Blue Hors Hotline) ridden by Lisa Wilcox. Another great talent in this collection is the NMK mare Pollyrijke VR (s.Ghandi). Her dam Redorijke has performed at ZZ-Licht/fourth level and has already produced the Intermediate II horse Floris (s.Velazquez) as well as the international Small Tour horse Vivaldi (s.Ro-Lex). Dam Redorijke is a half-sister to the successful Grand Prix horse Madorijke (s.Contango) ridden by Madeleine Witte-Vrees and Rien van der Schaft.

Performance genes
The ster awarded mare Orangewood Tarpania (s.Governor) is a promising half-sister of the stallion Dutch Dream (s.Dream Boy), who participated for the Netherlands at the World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo this weekend. Her dam Hollywood Tarpania, also participated in this championship and then excelled in the Small Tour. Pikamora (s.Vivaldi), scoring 90 points for her trot at the mare inspection, was bred from a full sister of the KWPN approved Small Tour stallion El Capone. Her dam, Kamora, is a half-sister to the KWPN approved stallion Feel Good (s.Contango) and the Small Tour horse Kensington (s.De Niro). The Valverde mare Pandorra ASD was bred from the full sister of the international Grand Prix horse Ferrari (s.Apache) ridden by Jeanine Nekeman and comes from a proven performance family.

Showjumping talents
Scoring 85 points for both technique and scope, this promising three-years-old Pretty Sijgje (
s. I’m Special de Muze) earned 80 points for free jumping at the mare inspection. The Komme Casall TN mare Piarma, is a half-sister to the international 1.45m showjumping horse Hiarma (s.Ultimo) ridden by Pim Mulder and is closely related to same level performer Nizarmo (s.Landwind II B). The Kempinski mare Pinette, has a half-sister in the international 1.40m level jumping horse Enette (s.Diarado) and is related to several 1.40/1.45m horses on the dam’s side. Another showjumping talent is the La Costa ES mare Petula TCS, who is a granddaughter of the international 1.45m level competing mare Chanel Z ridden by Lorenzo De Luca.
